Meet Wendy

Wendy Horman
Americans are bearing the brunt of failed policy decisions that threaten their freedoms, prosperity, and the sanctity of their families. Without proven leaders at the state level, big government will continue to encroach on our Constitutional rights, our wallets, and our primary relationships.

This heavy-handed governing from D.C. on down is exactly what Wendy Horman has taken a stand against as an Idaho Representative since her constituents in District 32 voted her into office in 2012.

Wendy is a proven public servant as a Representative and Idahoan. She currently serves on the following committees in the Idaho House of Representatives:

  • Chair of the House Appropriations Committee
  • Co-Chair of the Joint Finance and Appropriations Committee
  • Member of the Federalism Committee
  • Member of the House Commerce and Human Resources Committee
  • Member of the House Energy, Environment and Technology Committee
Involvement on multiple committees as a leader has equipped Wendy to spearhead initiatives that positively impact the lives of Idahoans. Wendy is also a member of the executive Legislative Council and previously served as the House Chair of the Economic Outlook and Revenue Forecast Committee. She is currently on the LINE Commission (Leadership in Nuclear Energy) as her legislative district is home to the Idaho National Laboratory, and founded the Idaho Energy and Technology Caucus. As an avid supporter of the arts, Wendy has been a member of the Idaho Falls Symphony Advisory Board and is a member of the American Guild of Organists. Wendy actively demonstrates her love for the arts by serving as a musician in her church.

Wendy’s achievements as a civil servant have not gone unnoticed. She was named one of Idaho Business Review’s Women of the Year and Idaho Education Technology Advocate of the year in 2017.

Wendy is a passionate advocate for Idaho’s children to receive a quality education. She served as a member of the Bonneville School District Board of Trustees from 2002 to 2013, which included seven years as Treasurer, before she began serving as a State Representative. In 2007, she became the President of the Idaho School Boards Association. Prior to her Board service, Wendy spent ten years as a school volunteer and started FAME (Fine Arts Mini Experience) in her district.
